Asian Games 2018 Programme Gaining Momentum

Asian Games 2018 – ECUBES ARCOLA zero emission mobility, energy storage, low carbon and renewable energy project for Asian Games 2018 presented to Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla.

After reviewing a number of venues and infrastructure for the Asian Games 2018, Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Jusuf “JK” Kalla held a closed meeting (Rapat Terbatas) on Saturday (08/04/2017).

This closed meeting that runs focus on discussing the readiness of fFacilities and infrastructure discussed, which will be used during the implementation of Asian Games, included Asian Games venues, athlete’s housinge, supporting transportation for participants & audiences including such as LRT and hHydrogen cars that.

ECUBES president Aleksander Gerbec had the opportunity to presented the zero emission – hydrogen mobility and energy storage project to be applied in Jakabaring sports city complex.


Alex Noerdin, Governor of South Sumatra said “We will make Jakabaring sports city as a green sports city. Operating in the city will be hydrogen vehicles that are environmentally friendly, with zero emissions, powered by fuel captured from solar PV. We are confident that in addition to the grid power and zero emission mobility solutions that ECUBES ARCOLA will deliver for those involved in the Asian Games, there will be ongoing benefits for the residents of South Sumatra as a legacy of this decision.”

Budi Pangestu, General Manager PT-PLN Palembang said “the Indonesian Government Regulation 79/2014 National Energy Policy sets a target to increase the provision of primary energy in Indonesia in 2025 to 400 MTOE with 23 percent from new and renewable energy (NRE) or an equivalent of 92 MTOE, with a growth of 17 percent for the next 10 years.
